Misoh

born in Korea and raised in Texas, Misoh is a diasporic femme whose fashion, art, and writing explore identity and relational connection.

Informed by a bicultural, conservative upbringing in Korea and Texas, her wearable / art questions inherited beliefs and moves toward an expansive future. Just as the Self is assembled in fragments—stitched, unraveled, transformed, refined—her work gives form to what is most often left unsaid in the process of becoming.

Since graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in Apparel Design in 2014, she has worked as a fashion designer for notable luxury labels while developing her own artistic practice in tandem. MISOH has received print and online recognition from Office Magazine, Interview Magazine, Christie’s Auction House, Columbia Journal, Opening Ceremony, and more.
